Finnish delegation explores Tangier Med Port's strategic role in global trade
A Finnish diplomatic team, led by Minister of Foreign Trade and Development, Ville Tavio, visited the Tangier Med Port, a growing global logistics hub, two days ago. The delegation was joined by Finland’s Ambassador to Morocco, marjaana Sall, who met with port officials to explore the port’s advanced infrastructure and its crucial role in international trade.
The Finnish minister expressed admiration for the port's development, recognizing it as one of the largest and most sophisticated logistics centers globally. The visit offered the delegation valuable insight into Morocco's emerging significance as a strategic point in international supply chains, serving as a critical trade gateway connecting Europe, Africa, and the rest of the world. The discussions also focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in transportation and logistics, particularly in areas such as smart port technology and sustainable solutions fields in which Finland has significant expertise, offering opportunities for future collaborations with Morocco.
