Appointed on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, by His Majesty King Mohammed VI as head of government, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri has a background marked by legal training, a career as a lawyer, and various political, parliamentary, local, and governmental responsibilities.

Born on January 3, 1976, in Marrakech, the new Prime Minister has gradually solidified her presence in Moroccan political life, particularly within the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), of which she has been the coordinator of the collegiate leadership since 2024.

A university education in law

Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri holds a degree in Anglo-Saxon law from Pace University in the United States. She also has a postgraduate degree in business contract law from the University of Montpellier and a bachelor's degree in private law from Mohammed V University in Rabat.

A career as a lawyer specializing in real estate law

Her political career began in 2007 with her membership in the Movement for All Democrats.

A first parliamentary experience

Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri also entered Parliament. She was elected as a deputy for the 2011-2016 term, before being re-elected for a second term covering the period 2016-2021.

Alongside her parliamentary mandates, she continued her rise within the PAM.

She presided over the national council of the party from 2015 to 2024, before being appointed in 2024 as the coordinator of the PAM collegiate leadership.

A return to the head of Marrakech

In 2021, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri returned to the presidency of the Marrakech municipal council for a term covering 2021-2027.

This same year also marked her entry into the government.

She was appointed Minister of National Land Use Planning, Urbanism, Housing, and City Policy, a portfolio she held until 2026.
