Volvo reports strong demand in Europe and North America amid growth in truck and equipment sales

The Swedish industrial group Volvo Group has reported stable and strong demand across key markets, with solid performance in Europe and continued growth momentum in North America.

According to the company, customer demand and deliveries in Europe remain at healthy levels across its business segments during the second quarter. In North America, demand is described as strong, supported by gradually increasing production levels.

The company noted that cost inflation is trending upward, although high utilization rates of trucks and machinery among customers continue to support service-related revenue streams. This reflects sustained activity in logistics and construction sectors despite broader economic pressures.

Volvo also expects its truck division and Volvo Construction Equipment unit to outperform historical growth trends, although it did not specify a timeframe for this outlook.

The group’s autonomous transport division, Volvo Autonomous Solutions, aims to begin driverless highway operations by early 2027 and targets approximately $3 billion in sales within five years. Meanwhile, Volvo Penta, its engine and power systems unit, plans to significantly expand its sales in the coming years.

Volvo remains one of the world’s leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, and construction equipment, and continues to invest heavily in automation and industrial innovation to strengthen long-term competitiveness.
