Fuel distribution has been suspended in parts of Crimea following a series of Ukrainian drone strikes that targeted key infrastructure and caused casualties, according to local authorities and official statements.

The Crimea, annexed by Russia in 2014, experienced significant disruption after attacks reportedly damaged energy and logistics facilities. Local officials confirmed that several fuel stations were forced to halt operations, with supplies restricted to essential public services.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on social media platform X that recent long-range operations targeted military logistics, oil infrastructure, and air defense systems. He described strikes on facilities linked to fuel transport routes near the Kerch area, as well as a petroleum storage site in the region.

According to regional authorities, the attacks resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries, including incidents near the Kerch transport zone and on a ferry operating between mainland Russia and Crimea. Damage to infrastructure also led to partial power outages affecting several districts, with emergency repair teams deployed to restore electricity.

Energy supply disruptions were confirmed by local utility providers, who reported damage to sections of the regional power grid. Authorities said that restoration work was underway, but warned that the situation remained unstable in some areas.

The recent strikes are part of a broader pattern of Ukrainian attacks targeting Russian energy and logistics infrastructure. Analysts note that oil refineries, pipelines, and storage facilities have been increasingly targeted in an effort to reduce Russia’s energy revenues, which are seen as critical to sustaining its military operations.

The ongoing conflict has also seen continued Russian strikes on Ukrainian regions, including reported casualties in areas such as Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava. Ukrainian officials say thousands of drones and missiles have been launched in recent weeks, reflecting an escalation in aerial warfare.

As both sides intensify attacks on strategic infrastructure, the conflict continues to place pressure on civilian services, energy systems, and regional stability across the wider Black Sea area.
