The Ministry of Culture launches the 5th National Visual Arts Award

The Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication – Department of Culture – has announced the launch of the 5th edition of the National Visual Arts Award, with applications open from April 24 to June 15, 2026.

This initiative aims to promote creativity, support artists, and discover emerging talents while providing financial and media support. According to the ministry, the award is divided into three main categories: the National Prize for Young Painters, the National Prize for Artistic Photography, and the National Prize for Sculpture.

The National Prize for Young Painters is open to artists aged between 18 and 30. The competition begins at the regional level through exhibitions organized by the ministry in each regional directorate.

Winners of the regional competitions will receive monetary awards of 30,000 MAD for first place, 20,000 MAD for second place, and 10,000 MAD for third place.

At the national level, the Young Painters category will award 100,000 MAD for the Excellence Prize, 60,000 MAD for the Distinction Prize, and 40,000 MAD for the Encouragement Prize.

For both the National Prize for Artistic Photography and the National Prize for Sculpture, open to participants aged 18 and above, the awards include 60,000 MAD for first place, 50,000 MAD for second place, and 40,000 MAD for third place.
