Strengthening ties: Morocco and Zambia’s commitment to bilateral cooperation
Morocco is making strides in expanding its diplomatic and economic partnerships across Africa.
In a significant meeting held in Rabat, Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita welcomed Caleb Fundanga, the special envoy of Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema. Fundanga delivered a written message from President Hichilema to King Mohammed VI, underscoring the ongoing cooperation between the two nations.
Samuel Munzele Maimbo, a prominent member of the Zambian delegation, emphasized that this message symbolizes the commitment to fortifying ties between Morocco and Zambia. He conveyed President Hichilema's gratitude towards King Mohammed VI for his dedication to enhancing bilateral relations.
The meeting, which also featured Eliphas J. Chinyonga, head of Zambia’s diplomatic mission in Morocco, served as a platform to explore avenues for deepening cooperation. Maimbo noted the significance of maintaining an open dialogue, highlighting that both nations share a common vision for Africa’s development.
“At the heart of this cooperation lies an open exchange of ideas on how to advance the continent,” Maimbo stated.
Morocco’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its diplomatic and economic partnerships focus on pivotal sectors such as trade, infrastructure, and renewable energy. By fostering strategic agreements and facilitating high-level exchanges, Morocco solidifies its role as a bridge for regional development.
The North African nation’s commitment to mutual growth and stability reflects a broader vision of African solidarity, positioning Morocco as a key player in fostering a more interconnected and prosperous future for the region.
