Strengthening Military Cooperation: The Inspector General of the FAR Visits Saudi Arabia
Under the high instructions of the King, Supreme Commander, and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the Southern Zone, is conducting a working visit to Saudi Arabia from March 16 to 21.
During this visit, General Berrid held a meeting with General Fayyadh bin Hamed bin Raqed Al Ruwaili, Chief of the General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces. Discussions focused on various aspects of bilateral military cooperation, guided by the leadership of both nations, according to a statement from the FAR General Staff.
Both officials commended the strong ties of friendship and collaboration between the armed forces of Morocco and Saudi Arabia, highlighting the positive achievements resulting from their fruitful cooperation.
Additionally, General Berrid visited the headquarters of the Islamic Military Coalition Against Terrorism, where he was briefed on its missions and the coordination mechanisms among its members in countering terrorism and extremism. These efforts aim to enhance security and stability in the region.
This visit and the meeting between the two military leaders align with the broader objective of reinforcing Morocco-Saudi military cooperation. The discussions explored ways to deepen collaboration across various domains of mutual interest, further solidifying the strategic partnership between the two nations.
