Sherine Abdel Wahab shines bright at Festival Mawazine in a highly anticipated return
The Festival Mawazine, a major cultural event in Morocco, came alive last night with the powerful and moving voice of Sherine Abdel Wahab. After a six-month hiatus filled with speculation about her career, the Egyptian singer delivered an unforgettable performance on the Souissi stage in Rabat, reaffirming her place in the Arab music scene.
This event marked her comeback to the Festival Mawazine, nine years after her last appearance in 2016. On Friday evening, Sherine led the final rehearsal accompanied by a renowned orchestra directed by maestro Medhat Khamis. The maestro praised her as the "queen of emotion" and "voice of Egypt and the Arab world." Fans were given a glimpse of the rehearsal through a video where Sherine passionately performed "Alli Yeqab Al Habibi," showing her focus and the harmony between her and the musicians.
The highly awaited concert helped clear doubts about her artistic return following the six-month break, which had raised many questions. During the show, Sherine promised to perform over thirty songs, blending her greatest hits with popular tunes chosen live by the audience, demonstrating the strong connection she shares with her fans.
This triumphant return to Festival Mawazine marks a pivotal moment in Sherine Abdel Wahab’s career, as she appears more determined than ever to continue her musical journey and win over new audiences across the Arab world.
