Russia’s Defence Ministry reported intercepting 105 Ukrainian drones across various Russian regions, including 35 near Moscow, following a previous report of over 300 drones shot down. In the Kherson region, one person died due to a Russian artillery strike. Over the past day, 35 locations in Kherson, including its capital, suffered artillery and aerial attacks, resulting in 11 injuries. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy identified the Donetsk region as the site of the fiercest fighting and confirmed ongoing military actions in the Kursk and Belgorod regions.

Diplomatic Updates:
The European Union is set to approve tariffs on Russian fertilizer imports. Meanwhile, a U.S. Senate bill aimed at imposing additional sanctions on Russia has gathered bipartisan support from over 80 senators. The Kremlin denied claims from Ukraine and Europe that it was delaying peace negotiations, stating it intends to present its ceasefire conditions without specifying a timeline. Poland disclosed military intervention after detecting suspicious activity by a Russian “shadow fleet” vessel near an undersea cable linking Poland and Sweden. President Zelenskyy reported a phone conversation with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, where they discussed coordinated efforts and pressure tactics on Russia to achieve a fair peace. Additionally, Ukraine’s allies, including the United States and United Kingdom, issued a warning about a Russian cyber campaign targeting logistics and technology companies involved in foreign aid to Ukraine
