Queen Camilla's Chest Infection: A Temporary Pause for the Royal Duties
Queen Camilla is currently dealing with a chest infection, which has led her to cancel her planned engagements for the week, as announced by Buckingham Palace. At 77 years old, she is resting at home under medical advice for a short recovery period.
The palace spokesperson mentioned that she hopes to recover in time for the Remembrance events this weekend. Unfortunately, this illness means she will miss the Field of Remembrance event at Westminster Abbey, where memorial poppies are planted to honor fallen service members. The Duchess of Gloucester will take her place at this event.
Additionally, King Charles is undergoing treatment for cancer, which has also limited his engagements, although he recently traveled with Camilla to Australia and Samoa.
