Prince Moulay Rachid receives Morocco’s national football team after CAN 2025 final
On the instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, Prince Moulay Rachid welcomed the members of Morocco’s national football team at the Royal Guest Palace in Rabat on Monday, following their runner-up finish in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN).
The reception was attended by Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, as well as the national team coach Walid Regragui and players, who posed for an official photo with the Prince.
HM King Mohammed VI had previously congratulated the team after the final match against Senegal, highlighting their perseverance, teamwork, and determination as an example of the potential of Moroccan and African youth. He praised the team for demonstrating the importance of investing in human capital and modern infrastructure, noting that Morocco’s facilities are ready to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
The ceremony reflects the King’s continued support for youth development and his commitment to promoting sports, particularly football, as a tool for national pride and international recognition.
