Peru: Ten people, including five children, killed in Lima house fire

At least ten people, including five children, have died after a fire broke out in two homes in a low-income neighborhood of Lima, according to Peruvian authorities. Two other people were reportedly injured in the incident.

The fire occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, prompting emergency services to respond to the affected area. The two properties were severely damaged and were subsequently declared uninhabitable.

Relatives of the victims said that those who died included five adults and five minors. Police officials later confirmed that nine of the victims were members of the same family, including the five children.
