Palestine Commends Morocco’s Humanitarian Aid for Gaza

On Monday, King Mohammed VI instructed the government an additional humanitarian aid of 40 tons, consisting of medical aid and other commodities to mitigate the situation in Gaza.

A Palestinian delegation has commended Morocco’s generous humanitarian aid in solidarity with Gaza.

Morocco’s Foreign Affairs Minister Nasser Bourita held a meeting today with the palestinian delegation currently visiting Rabat at the invitation of the Bayt Mal Al Qods agency.

The Palestinian Minister of Jerusalem Affairs, Ashraf Al Aawar, emphasized during the meeting Morocco’s efforts under King Mohammed VI in support of the Palestinian people.

He also conveyed  Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s heartfelt thanks to King Mohammed VI for his  initiatives aimed at easing the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza through a new humanitarian operation providing medical aid.

Al Aawar hoped more Arab countries would follow Morocco’s example in providing aid to the Palestinian population, especially in Gaza.

During discussions with Boruita, the Palestinian delegation provided an overview of the situation in Gaza, highlighting the plight of Palestinians during these challenging times.

On Monday, Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced King Mohammed VI’s urgent directives to deploy a medical aid operation for the people in Gaza.

The aid package included 40 tons of medical supplies, with the aim to help address medical needs amid the Israeli Occupation Forces’ (IOF) ongoing merciless massacre of civilians in Gaza.

Omar al-Kiswani, Director of Al Aqsa Mosque commended on Monday Omar al-Kiswani said  that the supply of this critical humanitarian aid -- which will be delivered by land -- is of “paramount importance” amid the escalation and current obstacles to the entry of humanitarian aid.

This gesture from King Mohammed VI demonstrates the monarch’s “personal commitment to ensuring the success of this operation,” he said.

“I can only extend my heartfelt thanks to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the assistance provided to our population in Gaza through the delivery of this batch of essential medical products.”

This is not the first time that Morocco has sent humanitarian aid to show its solidarity with Gaza as the Palestinian enclave endures the Israeli government’s merciless, murderous war on Gazans.

In March, in the midst of Israel's brutal campaign against the civilian population of Gaza, Morocco also sent 40 tons of humanitarian aid to alleviate the situation in Gaza.
