Pakistan says U.S.-Iran peace agreement could be signed within 24 hours
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Saturday that a peace agreement between the United States and Iran could be officially signed within the next 24 hours, marking a significant step toward ending months of tensions and conflict in the Middle East.
According to Sharif, representatives from both countries have reached a common framework for peace and successfully finalized the text of the proposed agreement. The development follows intensive diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing instability in the region and encouraging dialogue between the two nations.
The Pakistani leader stated that preparations are currently underway for an electronic signing ceremony. Once the agreement is formally signed, technical-level discussions are expected to begin next week in order to address implementation details and ensure that both parties fulfill their commitments.
The announcement highlights Pakistan’s role in supporting diplomatic initiatives and promoting regional stability. Observers believe that a successful agreement could contribute to easing geopolitical tensions and create new opportunities for cooperation in areas such as security, trade, and economic development.
Although official details of the agreement have not yet been made public, the expected signing has attracted international attention. Governments and international organizations are closely monitoring the situation, viewing the potential accord as an important milestone for peace efforts in the Middle East.
If finalized, the agreement would represent a major diplomatic achievement and could open a new chapter in relations between Washington and Tehran after a prolonged period of confrontation.
