Over 75,000 AI-generated tracks are uploaded daily on Deezer
French music streaming platform Deezer has revealed a sharp rise in the number of AI-generated songs being uploaded to its service, highlighting the rapid transformation of the digital music landscape.
According to the company, nearly 75,000 tracks created using artificial intelligence are now uploaded every day, representing around 44% of all daily releases on the platform. This marks a significant increase compared to less than 20% one year ago.
Despite this surge in production, Deezer reports that listening levels for AI-generated music remain relatively low, accounting for only 1% to 3% of total streams. The company has stated that such tracks are excluded from recommendation algorithms and that fraudulent content is actively demonetized and removed from promotional systems.
Deezer, which is currently the only major streaming platform to systematically label AI-generated music, says it has strengthened its detection tools since early 2025. At that time, AI-created tracks accounted for around 10% of uploads, rising to 18% in April and 34% by November.
The company’s CEO, Alexis Lanternier, emphasized that AI-generated music is no longer a marginal phenomenon and called for coordinated action across the music industry to protect artists’ rights and ensure transparency.
The rapid growth of generative AI in music has raised concerns among artists and professionals, who fear being overwhelmed by large volumes of synthetic content. Similar trends have already been observed on other platforms, where AI-generated performers have gained significant popularity.
