Offset replaces Tyga at Mawazine 2026 festival
Rhythms of the World Festival has announced a significant change to its 2026 lineup, confirming that American hip-hop star Offset will perform on Friday in place of rapper Tyga, who has withdrawn from the event after canceling his European summer tour for personal reasons.
The adjustment comes as organizers continue preparations for one of the largest cultural and music festivals in Africa. While Tyga’s cancellation disappointed some fans, the arrival of Offset is expected to maintain strong interest in the event thanks to his global popularity and influence in contemporary hip-hop.
Offset is widely recognized as one of the leading figures in modern rap music. He first gained international fame as a founding member of the acclaimed hip-hop group Migos, whose chart-topping hits helped shape the sound and direction of rap music throughout the past decade. The group’s success established a lasting impact on global popular culture and inspired a new generation of artists.
In addition to his achievements with Migos, Offset has built a successful solo career through hit singles, major collaborations, and performances alongside some of the biggest names in the international music industry. His music has attracted billions of streams across digital platforms, reinforcing his status as one of the most influential artists in contemporary hip-hop.
Festival organizers expressed their appreciation to attendees for their understanding regarding the lineup change and highlighted their enthusiasm about welcoming Offset to Morocco. The rapper is scheduled to perform alongside Ty Dolla $ign in what is expected to be one of the most anticipated concerts of the festival.
Mawazine continues to attract major international stars while promoting cultural exchange and artistic diversity. Over the years, the festival has become a landmark event that brings together artists and audiences from different backgrounds, contributing to Morocco’s growing reputation as a global destination for music and entertainment.
With Offset now joining the 2026 edition, festival-goers can look forward to an energetic performance that blends modern rap, international appeal, and the vibrant atmosphere that has made Mawazine one of the world's most recognized music festivals.
