Nvidia expands humanoid robot partnerships across the United States, Europe and Asia
Nvidia is broadening its involvement in the rapidly growing humanoid robotics sector by partnering with robot manufacturers in the United States, Europe and South Korea, while continuing its collaboration with Chinese company Unitree. The initiative reflects the increasing demand for advanced robotic platforms capable of supporting scientific research and accelerating innovation in artificial intelligence.
During a technology event in Taiwan, Nvidia announced a new research-oriented humanoid robot project based on Unitree’s H2 platform. The system is designed to provide universities and research institutions with a standardized robot that can be used for experimentation, development and testing of AI-driven applications.
The project combines expertise from several international partners. Unitree supplies the robot’s body, Singapore-based Sharpa provides the robotic hands, and Nvidia contributes the computing systems and artificial intelligence technologies that power the machine’s decision-making capabilities. By bringing together specialized components from different regions, the company aims to create a versatile platform for academic and technological research.
Several universities have already expressed interest in using these robots to explore fields such as machine learning, autonomous navigation and human-robot interaction. Researchers believe that standardized humanoid platforms can help accelerate scientific progress by enabling institutions to work with comparable systems and share research results more effectively.
