New U.S. ambassador Duke Buchan III begins his mission in Morocco with formal flag-raising ceremony
Duke Buchan III, the newly appointed U.S. ambassador to Morocco, officially marked the start of his diplomatic mission by raising the American flag over his residence, a symbolic gesture carried out with assistance from members of the U.S. Marine Corps. According to the embassy, the ambassador emphasized that he was honored to hoist the national flag upon his arrival.
In a statement issued by the U.S. diplomatic mission, Buchan expressed his commitment to strengthening the longstanding partnership between Washington and Rabat. He highlighted his enthusiasm for promoting the “strong ties” uniting both nations, recalling that this year marks the celebration of 250 years of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
