Morocco to be honored as first foreign guest at Paris International Agricultural Show
For the first time in its history, the Paris International Agricultural Show (SIA), scheduled from February 22 to March 2, will spotlight Morocco as its featured foreign guest, according to event organizers.
During the event’s announcement, France’s Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty highlighted the significance of this milestone, describing Morocco as both a partner and a friend. She noted that French agriculture, facing similar climate-related challenges, can learn valuable lessons from Morocco’s expertise, particularly in water management.
This recognition also reflects the strong agricultural ties between the two nations, following a recent high-level State visit to Morocco. The president of the SIA emphasized that Morocco’s selection as the guest of honor is the result of five years of careful planning, driven by the desire to strengthen this partnership.
Morocco will participate with a 476 m² central pavilion, featuring certified local products crafted by traditional cooperatives, showcasing the country’s rich agricultural diversity.
The 61st edition of the show, themed "A French Pride," is expected to attract over 600,000 visitors, with 4,000 animals and 1,000 exhibitors across 16 hectares and 9 pavilions.
