Morocco's football chief honored at Arab Sports summit for transformative impact
During a prestigious ceremony in Doha, Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), received the 2024 Appreciation Prize from the Arab Sports Culture Association. The accolade was presented at the 5th Annual Congress of Arab Sports Culture, which focused on Olympic champion development.
The award recognizes Lekjaa's comprehensive contributions to Moroccan football, particularly in advancing training programs and infrastructure development. Under his leadership, the national team achieved historic success, securing fourth place at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Beyond national achievements, the honor acknowledges Lekjaa's influential role in continental and international football organizations, where he has actively championed the advancement of both Arab and African football.
