Morocco's Aerospace Industry: A Global Hub for Innovation and Collaboration
The 7th edition of the Marrakech Air Show, set to take place from October 30th to November 2nd, 2024, promises to showcase Morocco's rising prominence on the global aerospace stage. Co-organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Administration of National Defense, and MEDZ, a subsidiary of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion, this international event will bring together key players in the aerospace industry to discuss strategic themes.
With an exhibition space spanning 12,500 square meters, the Air Show will host a diverse range of professionals and official delegations from around the world. Prestigious exhibitors include industry leaders such as Airbus, China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC), Embraer, Emirates Defense Companies Council (EDCC), Heliconia, Lockheed Martin, and Tata Advanced Systems.
Morocco's aerospace sector has emerged as a significant employer, creating over 21,000 jobs and contributing to the country's industrial growth. Notably, it has empowered women to take on strategic roles, promoting inclusivity and gender equality. In a short span of time, Morocco has established itself as a major player in Africa, achieving an export turnover of $2.1 billion, with annual growth rates in double digits and a local integration rate of 40%. The Kingdom has thus positioned itself as a competitive global platform, attracting leading industry names.
The Marrakech Air Show 2024 is poised to be an international hub for strategic partnerships, market exploration, and commercial agreements.
