Morocco redefines hospitality at CREMAI 2025 in Marrakech

From September 19 to 23, 2025, Marrakech will host the 11th edition of CREMAI, the International Exhibition of Hospitality, Foodservice, and Gastronomy. This event, now a cornerstone of Morocco’s soft power, showcases the nation’s ambition to lead in sustainable tourism, cultural influence, and economic growth.

A dynamic hub of innovation and collaboration

Spread across two hectares, CREMAI 2025 brings together chefs, hoteliers, suppliers, and innovators to shape the future of the hospitality industry. Themed pavilions highlight key trends such as green hospitality, local excellence, culinary technology, and heritage products. Beyond business, the event fosters an ecosystem focused on long-term solutions and holistic development.

Culinary excellence takes center stage

At the heart of CREMAI is the “Carrefour des Chefs,” where top-level culinary competitions celebrate and cultivate talent. This year’s highlights include:

- Africa’s Bakery Cup, showcasing artistic mastery in baking.

- Africa & Middle East Women Chefs Cup, promoting female leadership and mentorship in gastronomy.

- TOC MAROC, the national selection for global contests like the Bocuse d’Or and World Pastry Cup.

- Meilleure Performance Maroc (MPM), where chefs compete in diverse culinary categories, from Moroccan cuisine to international specialties.

Signature awards such as the Rahal Trophy for Moroccan cuisine and the Omar Trophy for chefs with reduced mobility add a unique cultural and inclusive dimension to the event.

Morocco’s rising global influence

Morocco’s hospitality and culinary teams have achieved significant international recognition, earning accolades in the Bocuse d’Or, African Pastry Cup, Gelato World Cup, and Dubai World Hospitality Championship. These successes underline CREMAI’s role as both a launchpad for talent and a platform for showcasing Morocco’s global competitiveness.

A roadmap for the future: Hospitality 2030

CREMAI 2025 also serves as an accelerator for Morocco’s “Hospitality 2030” strategy, a three-phase plan to modernize the sector and expand its influence across Africa and beyond.
