Morocco has been ranked among the safest countries in the world in the 2026 Global Terrorism Index, reflecting its sustained efforts to maintain security in an increasingly complex global environment.

The report, published by Institute for Economics & Peace, highlights a broader decline in terrorism-related violence worldwide. In 2025, the number of deaths linked to terrorism fell significantly, although incidents remain heavily concentrated in a limited number of regions.
