Morocco introduces world fans championship to showcase supporter creativity
Hicham El Marbouh, Project Manager of the Sports Club Association, has announced the launch of the World Fans Championship, a unique sports series being hosted in Morocco for the first time. This groundbreaking event, also a global first, will take place from March to June.
Speaking about the championship, El Marbouh highlighted its mission to bring fans closer to the action and showcase their creativity, passion, and love for their teams and country. "This is going to be the closer image for the supporters, where we are going to see the creativity, the passion, the love of supporters that they give to their team, their series, and to our country," he said.
El Marbouh also emphasized the championship’s broader goal of presenting a positive image of Morocco to the world. As the country prepares to co-host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, this initiative offers a platform to demonstrate the energy and capacity of Moroccan youth and supporters. "We want to give a better image to the world—that our supporters and our youth have the ability to present a better image of Morocco," he stated.
The World Fans Championship is an innovative step toward celebrating supporter culture while reinforcing Morocco’s reputation as a host for major international events.
