Morocco Historic Rally 15th edition set to cross six regions in May 2026
The 15th edition of the Maroc Historic Rally will take place from May 9 to 15, 2026, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. More than 60 crews representing 15 countries, including Morocco, will compete across a demanding course stretching approximately 1,500 kilometers, of which 400 kilometers consist of special stages.
Competing vehicles are drawn from three distinct generations that shaped the history of the World Rally Championship: cars built between 1947 and 1971, those from 1972 to 1985, and machines from the 1986 to 1990 era. This generational spread gives the rally its distinctive identity, placing celebrated historic competition vehicles back on the road in a competitive environment that honors the sport's heritage.
The 2026 route traces a sweeping path through some of Morocco's most visually striking landscapes. Crews will depart from Casablanca before passing through Khatouat, Bin El Ouidane, Azilal, El Borouj, Skhour Rhamna, Sidi Ifni, and Massa, before finishing at Agadir's Paradis Plage. The itinerary combines Atlantic coastal roads, mountainous terrain, and technically demanding tracks, creating a course that is both physically challenging and scenically spectacular.
Morocco has long established itself as one of the world's premier destinations for international rally competitions, renowned for the variety and difficulty of its terrain. The official start ceremony for this 15th edition will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Automobile Club Museum on the Route de Bouskoura in Casablanca, in the presence of participants, organizers, partners, and official guests.
