Morocco: Government council to review judicial experts and dam safety issues
A Government Council meeting will be held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, according to an official statement released by the head of government’s office.
At the start of its session, the Council is expected to examine a draft bill concerning judicial experts, aimed at strengthening the legal and regulatory framework governing this profession.
The agenda will then move to the review of two draft decrees, the first focusing on internal control mechanisms within ministerial departments, and the second addressing the classification and assessment of dam safety levels, reflecting ongoing efforts to enhance governance and infrastructure security.
The Council will also consider an air services agreement signed on September 30, 2025, between the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Government of the Republic of The Gambia, along with a draft law approving the agreement.
In line with Article 92 of the Constitution, the meeting will conclude with the examination of proposals for appointments to senior positions.
Following the Council’s session, the government will hold a special meeting dedicated to reviewing a number of legislative proposals, the statement added.
