Morocco fashion style and tex opens with creative runway showcase
Casablanca hosted the opening of the 11th edition of Morocco Fashion Style & Tex on April 2 at the OFEC exhibition center. The event brought together diplomatic representatives and institutional figures, marking the start of a major international gathering dedicated to textiles, fashion, home textiles, and industrial machinery.
Organized by Pyramids Group, the exhibition launched with a runway show that set the tone for the 2026 edition. The opening combined institutional presence with creative expression, reflecting the event’s dual focus on industry and design. Diplomats from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Paraguay, Belgium, Spain, Brazil, and the Democratic Republic of Congo attended, alongside Moroccan officials including local government and chamber of commerce representatives.
The exhibition positions itself as a meeting point for manufacturers, suppliers, designers, buyers, distributors, and investors. It reflects Morocco’s growing role as a regional hub linking Africa, Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East. The event aims to strengthen commercial ties while promoting local expertise and international visibility.
The opening runway show served as a central highlight. Designed as a tribute to Yves Saint Laurent, it presented a broad range of creative expressions within Moroccan fashion. The collections showcased both traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design approaches, emphasizing the sector’s evolving identity.
Designers and brands featured included IHSSAN GHAILLAN, ZOR CREATIONS, LINA AGDOUR, ICONIC, BIJOUYA, SOJI & OJI, HOMIES, WACHMA COUTURE, ATELIER 111, BACHA COUTURE, and LUXURY COUTURE BY AKIL. Their work reflected diverse styles and perspectives, highlighting the dynamism of Morocco’s fashion scene and its ability to balance heritage with modern trends.
The event integrates exhibitions, business meetings, conferences, workshops, and creative performances. This structure supports collaboration between industry, craftsmanship, innovation, and training. It also reinforces the role of design as a key component of competitiveness in the global textile market.
By combining commercial activity with artistic presentation, Morocco Fashion Style & Tex underscores Casablanca’s position as a regional hub. The event highlights the country’s ambition to move beyond manufacturing and strengthen its presence in design, branding, and international markets.
