Moroccan Investment Roadshow Captivates Basque Region, Bolstering Bilateral Ties
A prominent Moroccan delegation, led by Minister Mohcine Jazouli, embarked on a captivating investment roadshow to Spain’s Basque region, with the aim of fortifying economic bonds between the two nations.
The journey, jointly organized by the Morocco-Spain Economic Council (CEMAES), Catalonia’s primary employer federation Promotion of National Employment, and the Basque Entrepreneurial Confederation (CONFEBASK), emphasized a mutual endeavor to stimulate increased investment exchanges.
Commencing with a notable business symposium in Barcelona that brought together over 200 Moroccan and Catalan corporate leaders, the expedition capitalized on the momentum generated by the Joint Declaration forged during the April 2022 summit between His Majesty King Mohammed VI and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.
On Tuesday, the delegation was graciously hosted in Bilbao by CONFEBASK to explore diverse investment opportunities in Morocco within pivotal sectors such as automotive, aeronautics, railways, renewable energy, household appliances, textiles, and pharmaceuticals.
In addition to high-level discussions, the Moroccan representatives toured flagship Basque industrial establishments and collaborated with the Spanish railway ecosystem association MAFEX.
This economic diplomacy underscores a shared dedication to unleashing the untapped investment potential between the business communities, spotlighting the resilience of Morocco-Spain relations.
