Moroccan athletes excel at Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament in Dubai
Moroccan athletes showcased their dominance at the 12th Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament held in Dubai, securing victories in multiple categories of the road races. This prestigious event, hosted at the Meydan Racecourse, attracted 4,300 runners from diverse nationalities, highlighting its increasing international allure.
In the men’s 10-kilometer race, Yasser El Chachaoui led the pack, finishing with a remarkable time of 27 minutes and 21 seconds. His compatriots, Mohamed Aït Mamas and Ismail El Kharchi, followed closely, ensuring a clean sweep of the podium for Morocco.
Moroccan women also displayed exceptional prowess, with Rokaya Moukaim clinching first place in the women's 10-kilometer race in 34 minutes and 37 seconds.
The 5-kilometer races further underscored Moroccan talent, as Amine Souida triumphed in the men's event, clocking in at 14 minutes and 45 seconds. Emirati runner Hamid Al Moualla took the lead among local competitors with a time of 15 minutes and 41 seconds.
In the women’s 5k, Polish athlete Emilia Mangilinane emerged victorious with a time of 22 minutes and 11 seconds, while Emirati Hessa Al Jassmi won her category, finishing in 23 minutes and 48 seconds.
Additionally, French runners excelled in the seniors and residents category for the 5-kilometer race, with Jean-Claude Haramburi taking the men’s division in 16 minutes and 58 seconds, and Latifa Saroukh winning the women’s race in 25 minutes and 33 seconds.
The Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament continues to establish itself as a premier sporting event in Dubai, showcasing both international talent and the development of local athletes.
