Mohamed Chaouki highlights frank dialogue with Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri

Rabat — The consultations surrounding the formation of Morocco’s next government have entered a new phase, with National Rally of Independents (RNI) President Mohamed Chaouki describing his meeting with Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri as open, direct and marked by a strong sense of responsibility.

The meeting took place Wednesday morning at the headquarters of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) in Rabat, as part of consultations aimed at discussing the country’s political priorities and the challenges facing Morocco in the coming period. Recent reporting confirms that the RNI delegation was led by Chaouki and included Rachid Talbi Alami and Mohamed Boussaid.

Speaking after the meeting, Chaouki said the discussions provided an opportunity to address major challenges expected to shape Morocco’s future. He also indicated that the talks allowed the RNI to hear El Mansouri’s perspective as consultations move forward.

Emphasis on responsibility and national interests

Chaouki stressed that the RNI intends to approach the next stage with what he described as a strong sense of responsibility. According to his remarks, the party’s participation in discussions over the country’s future will remain focused on what it considers the broader interests of Morocco.

The RNI leader also expressed his appreciation for the confidence placed in El Mansouri by King Mohammed VI. His comments came as political parties begin positioning themselves for discussions over the composition and priorities of the next government following the September 23 legislative elections.

The political landscape has shifted following the vote, with the PAM emerging as the largest parliamentary force and the RNI remaining one of the principal parties involved in the forthcoming coalition discussions.
