A recent study conducted by Imperium, a prominent Moroccan firm specializing in Data Sourcing and Analysis, has unveiled the extensive media coverage of Moroccan public figures throughout May 2024. Leading the list is Aziz Akhannouch, the Prime Minister of Morocco, who has garnered significant media attention with no less than 10,000 articles dedicated to him. This impressive figure underscores his substantial influence in the national political arena, with close monitoring of his statements, governmental actions, and his role within the National Rally of Independents (RNI).

In second place, Nasser Bourita, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad, has secured his position with 6,689 articles. This rise from the third position in the previous month, when he attracted 5,538 articles, highlights his continued prominence on the Moroccan diplomatic stage. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, the Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, ranks third with 3,167 articles, reflecting his impact on promoting culture and communication in Morocco.

Adel El Fakir, Director-General of the National Airports Office (ONDA), made a remarkable ascent by climbing 95 places to secure the 52nd position. Similarly, former parliamentarian Fatiha Layadi surged 86 places to rank 43rd. Conversely, Hamdi Ould Errachid, President of the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra Regional Council, dropped 25 places, and Rachid Talbi Alami, President of the House of Representatives, fell 17 places in the media ranking.

Although men predominantly occupy the ranking, Moroccan women have also secured notable positions. Fatim-Zahra Ammor, the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy; Ghita Mezzour, the Delegate Minister for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform; and Leila Benali, the Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, each stand out with 1,740, 2,178, and 2,184 articles respectively covering their ministerial activities.
