MEDays 2024 Bah Oury Highlights Morocco-Guinea Cooperation and King Mohammed VI’s Leadership
During the 16th edition of the International MEDays Forum, held from November 27 to 30, 2024, in Tangier, Guinea’s Prime Minister Bah Oury delivered a significant statement on the importance of cooperation between Morocco and Guinea. Under the theme "Sovereignties and Resilience: Toward a New Global Balance", the event brings together African and international leaders to address pressing global challenges.
A Thriving Partnership Between Two Nations
Bah Oury used the platform to commend the progress made since previous editions of the MEDays Forum while emphasizing the vital bilateral relations between Guinea and Morocco.
"Morocco has played a pivotal role in Guinea’s development, particularly through significant investments and infrastructure projects," he said. "His Majesty King Mohammed VI embodies a clear and proactive vision for Africa, a model we must emulate."
The Prime Minister also praised the organizers for choosing a venue that reflects Morocco’s architectural and cultural heritage, in harmony with the Forum’s spirit.
Royal Leadership for Africa
Highlighting Morocco’s commitment to Africa, Bah Oury underscored the importance of Moroccan initiatives in strengthening economic ties with African countries. According to him, Morocco is not only an economic partner but also a driving force for the continent's development.
"We must approach this cooperation with greater determination to meet the expectations set by Morocco’s leadership," he added.
A Guinea in Transformation
Bah Oury also discussed Guinea's internal situation, marked by political and economic challenges. Under the leadership of General Mamadi Doumbouya, the country is working to stabilize its governance and strengthen its strategic partnerships. He expressed confidence that this positive momentum would allow Guinea to better leverage its strong relationship with Morocco.
"With a clear vision and firm will, we are working to build a future that meets the aspirations of current and future generations," he concluded.
A Forum to Redefine Global Balance
The MEDays 2024 Forum aims to be a strategic space for reflecting on major global shifts, where African nations’ sovereignty and resilience take center stage. For Bah Oury, this event represents a unique opportunity to strengthen South-South partnerships while inspiring a new generation of African leaders.
