Logitech CEO plans to boost spending on R&D and marketing
Logitech International CEO Hanneke Faber has announced plans to increase investment in research and development as well as marketing this year, despite growing concerns about a possible global economic slowdown linked to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
The company, known for its computer peripherals and digital devices, aims to strengthen its position in key markets such as gaming, enterprise solutions, and AI-powered products. After reducing costs last year due to the impact of tariffs introduced during the U.S. administration of Donald Trump, Logitech is now shifting back toward growth-oriented spending.
According to Faber, rapid technological changes—especially in artificial intelligence—are creating new opportunities for innovation and expansion. She emphasized that continued investment is essential for staying competitive in a fast-evolving industry.
“We can and we should invest,” Faber stated. “The world is changing so fast with AI, which offers so many opportunities.”
