Leaker claims new Star Fox game reveal this month
Nintendo insider NateTheHate insists a new Star Fox title for Switch 2 will launch officially this month via Nintendo Today or X, expressing full confidence without a specific date. The claim builds excitement among fans awaiting a major franchise entry after a decade. Video Games Chronicle corroborated the development independently.
In a March podcast, NateTheHate first detailed a "classic-style" game with online multiplayer and polished visuals, targeting summer 2026 release. On April 7 X post, he reaffirmed the April timeline when pressed, declining timing estimates. The buzz ties to Fox McCloud's role in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, out April 1, with Glen Powell voicing the character to acclaim.
The reveal skips a traditional Nintendo Direct none expected before June, and opts for a standalone drop on Nintendo's app or X account. Less reliable leaker JuansalMartin suggested this week. NateTheHate's track record includes accurate Switch 2 reveal date and Direct schedules. Nintendo has not commented.
This would mark Star Fox's first big new game since PlatinumGames' Star Fox Zero on Wii U. A classic revival with modern online play fits Nintendo's strategy amid heightened franchise interest.
