Kuwait Emir reaffirms continued support for Lebanon and its people
The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, has reaffirmed his country’s “continuous support for Lebanon and its people,” particularly during the current difficult period, according to an official statement from the Lebanese presidency.
The remarks were made during a phone call with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, during which both leaders discussed recent political and security developments in Lebanon, Kuwait, and the wider region.
The Kuwaiti Emir expressed his backing for Lebanon’s efforts to strengthen security, maintain stability, and restore full sovereignty across its territory. He also emphasized the importance of regional cooperation in addressing ongoing challenges affecting the Middle East.
In response, President Aoun expressed gratitude for Kuwait’s continued support, praising its leadership, government, and people for their assistance to Lebanon. He also reaffirmed Lebanon’s solidarity with Kuwait amid broader regional tensions.
The exchange comes at a time of heightened instability across the region, where conflicts and geopolitical tensions continue to affect economic and security conditions in several countries, including Gulf monarchies and Lebanon.
Analysts view such diplomatic communications as part of ongoing efforts to reinforce Arab solidarity and maintain regional stability amid persistent crises.
