Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry confirm their relationship on social media
Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and American pop star Katy Perry have publicly confirmed their romantic relationship through social media, weeks after their first red carpet appearance together in Paris.
Perry shared a series of photos and videos on Instagram from Tokyo, captioned “On tour in Tokyo, and more,” showing the couple posing cheek-to-cheek, enjoying sushi, and walking side by side in a museum. Earlier in the week, Trudeau commented on a photo posted by former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, writing, “Katy and I were delighted to have the chance to sit beside you,” highlighting their joint appearance during an official event.
Trudeau, 53, stepped down as Canada’s Prime Minister in March after ten years in office. He separated from his wife, Sophie Grégoire, with whom he has three children, in the summer of 2023. Perry, 41, previously dated British actor Orlando Bloom, and they share a daughter. The singer also participated in an all-female space flight aboard Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin rocket earlier this year.
