Judicial investigation launched after patient dies in fall at Agadir university hospital

A judicial investigation has been opened following the death of a patient who fell from an upper floor at the CHU Mohammed VI d’Agadir, hospital authorities confirmed.

According to a statement issued by the university hospital, the incident occurred on Saturday morning at approximately 9:40 a.m. The patient reportedly fell from one of the facility’s upper levels. Medical teams intervened immediately and initiated emergency resuscitation procedures, but the individual succumbed to their injuries.

Hospital management stated that the patient had been receiving comprehensive medical and nursing care in line with established protocols and professional standards. Officials added that the individual’s health condition had been described as stabilizing prior to the incident.

Investigation under prosecutorial supervision

In accordance with Moroccan legal procedures, an inquiry has been launched under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to clarify the exact circumstances and causes surrounding the death.
