Ivory Coast constitutional council confirms Ouattara’s Victory in Presidential election
Abidjan, November 4, 2025 — The Constitutional Council of Ivory Coast confirmed on Tuesday that President Alassane Ouattara won the first round of the October 25 presidential election.
“The candidate Alassane Ouattara is declared elected in the first round as President of the Republic of Ivory Coast,” stated Chatal Nanaba Camara, President of the Constitutional Council, in an official announcement.
According to the council, the incumbent president secured the support of approximately 3,759,030 voters, representing 89.77% of the votes. Voter turnout was 50.10%, confirming the provisional results announced by the Independent Electoral Commission (CEI) on October 27.
Nanaba Camara noted that the council received no complaints and that the examination of official records revealed no irregularities that could affect the election’s validity.
Out of 60 candidates, only five were validated by the Constitutional Council on September 7. Ivory Coast is scheduled to hold legislative elections on December 27 to renew the 155 seats of its National Assembly.
