Israel warns Iranians near military sites to evacuate immediately

The Israeli military has issued an urgent public warning to all Iranians who are inside or near military facilities, weapons factories, or related infrastructure across Iran, urging them to leave these areas immediately because remaining there puts their lives at risk. In a message posted in Farsi and Arabic on its official social media channels, a spokesperson said people currently present, or expected to be present soon, around military industries and their supporting institutions must evacuate at once and not return until further notice. The army framed the appeal as a civilian safety measure, stressing that these sites are considered dangerous targets in the current round of strikes between Israel and Iran.

The warning comes amid days of Israeli attacks on Iranian military and nuclear-linked infrastructure and Iranian missile launches toward Israeli cities and regional targets, in one of the most serious confrontations between the two countries in years. Israeli officials and military spokespeople indicated that operations would continue to focus on ballistic missile launchers, weapons production facilities, and command sites, and that the evacuation call signals further strikes could follow. Defense Minister Israel Katz has said Israel intends to keep targeting locations tied to Iran’s missile and nuclear programs, while insisting the warnings to civilians are meant to reduce casualties and show that the campaign is directed at the Iranian state, not its people.

Analysts described the direct outreach in Farsi to Iranian civilians as an unusual step that underlines both the scale of Israel’s current operation and its effort to shape international perceptions of the conflict. By telling residents to move away from military facilities, Israel is signaling that these areas remain high-priority targets, even as foreign governments call on all sides to de-escalate and avoid actions that could drag the region into a wider war.
