Iran discusses Strait of Hormuz security with Saudi Arabia and Oman

Iran has intensified diplomatic consultations with its Gulf neighbors by holding high-level discussions on the security of the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most strategically important maritime corridors.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi held separate telephone conversations with his counterparts from Saudi Arabia and Oman, focusing on regional developments and efforts to enhance stability through diplomatic engagement.

Maritime security at the forefront

According to a statement released through Araqchi's official Telegram channel, the talks centered on the latest developments affecting the region, with particular attention given to the security of the Strait of Hormuz.

The waterway remains a critical global energy transit route, carrying a substantial share of international oil and liquefied natural gas exports. As a result, its security continues to be a major concern for regional governments and global markets.

Diplomatic coordination for regional stability

During the discussions, Araqchi emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and expanding joint diplomatic efforts aimed at preserving peace and stability across the Gulf.
