Iran deploys advanced Kheibar missiles in recent strike on Israel
Iran has introduced its advanced “Kheibar” missile in the latest round of attacks against Israel, signaling a significant enhancement in Tehran’s military arsenal. This missile, also known as “Kheibar Shekan,” is a fourth-generation ballistic weapon powered by solid fuel, capable of reaching targets up to 1,450 kilometers away. Its accuracy is boosted by satellite-guided navigation technology.
The Kheibar missile belongs to the Khorramshahr family and follows three earlier versions, with the original Khorramshahr-1 first revealed during Iran’s Defense Week in 2017.
Reports indicate that 27 missiles were fired in two waves, with 22 launched initially and five in the second round. Damage was confirmed in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, including a direct strike on a building and scattered debris caused by missile interceptions along the coastline. In Jerusalem, residents experienced tremors as air defense systems responded to the attack.
