At the Huawei Network Summit 2024, held alongside GITEX Africa in Marrakech, industry pioneers converged to chart the course of Africa's digital odyssey. Under the banner "Accelerate Intelligence for New Africa," the event showcased Huawei's unwavering commitment to driving intelligent development across the continent, addressing both emerging challenges and untapped opportunities.

The summit commenced with a captivating video presentation, setting the stage for an evening dedicated to exploring innovative solutions and fostering new value creation. Richard Liu, President of the ICT Marketing Solution Sales Department at Huawei, delivered the opening address titled "Embracing the Great Era of North Africa." Liu's words resonated with the region's immense potential for growth and the strategic imperative of digital transformation.

The keynote session, featuring Colin Hu, President of Enterprise & Cloud Business at Huawei Northern Africa, Mohamed Ben Amor, General Secretary of AICTO, and Mohammed Drissi Melyani, General Director of Morocco ADD, centered on the summit's overarching theme of boosting intelligent development in Africa. The esteemed speakers shared their visions for harnessing technology as a catalyst for progress, underscoring the necessity of robust infrastructure, advanced cloud solutions, and a cohesive ecosystem.

Tariku Demissie, Senior Chief Technical Officer of Ethio Telecom, presented on "Digital Transformation in Ethiopia: Leveraging Connectivity, Cloud, and Fintech." His insightful discourse highlighted how these technologies are pivotal in fostering national development and enhancing connectivity across the nation.

The session titled "Digitalization Drives New Value in the Industry" featured Professor Saoussen Krichen, General Manager of Tunisia CCK, and Alex Pierre Meye Ntyam, CTO of Cameroon CNPS. They delved into the transformative power of digitalization, exploring how it can revolutionize industries, create new economic value, and enhance efficiency.

In the "Building a Win-Win Ecosystem" session, Jason Ye, VP of Huawei Cloud Northern Africa Region, and Wael ElMonairy, Regional Managing Director, unveiled strategies for fostering collaborative ecosystems. Their insights underscored the pivotal role of partnerships and shared growth in achieving sustainable development.

Chris Meng, President of ICT Marketing & Solution Sales at Huawei Northern Africa, delivered the closing speech, encapsulating the day's discussions and setting a forward-looking agenda for future initiatives.
