INKAS unveils integrated homeland security system at Marrakech Air Show
Canadian defense solutions manufacturer and systems integrator INKAS Aerospace & Defense has unveiled an integrated homeland security portfolio at the eighth edition of the Marrakech International Air Show, marking the first presentation of the system in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The company is showcasing three platforms introduced over the past year: the INKAS M1 MRAP, the INKAS MLTV and the INKAS ANURI UAV. Together, the systems are designed to address a broad range of security requirements, including passenger intelligence, border protection, tactical mobility, autonomous operations and counter-drone capabilities.
A key element of the presentation is INKAS’ API-PNR capability, which forms part of a wider homeland security architecture aimed at supporting governments and border authorities throughout the travel and security process. The platform combines passenger information, identity technologies, transport-sector connectivity, border management tools and intelligence-based risk assessment.
The company said its approach goes beyond individual defense products by integrating protected mobility, autonomous systems and border intelligence into a broader operational framework. The M1 MRAP and MLTV provide protected mobility, while the ANURI UAV is designed for autonomous missions and drone interception.
Speaking to Morocco’s state news agency, INKAS Vice President of Marketing and Business Development Arthur Yurovitsky said the Marrakech exhibition provides an opportunity for the company to demonstrate the evolution of its capabilities and its shift toward integrated defense and homeland security solutions.
He also highlighted the company’s efforts to expand its presence in the region and engage directly with government representatives, industry stakeholders and potential partners. INKAS, which has more than three decades of experience in the sector, is using the event to present its technologies and explore new cooperation opportunities.
INKAS Canada business adviser Moise Amsellem Elbaz said the company had already undertaken efforts to strengthen its presence in Morocco. At the Marrakech show, the company is presenting armored vehicles and unmanned systems available in the country, alongside its APIS platform for travel data management and border monitoring, which is designed for governments and airport authorities.
Held from October 7 to 10 at the Royal Moroccan Air Force Base in Marrakech, the Marrakech International Air Show has brought together major players from the global aerospace and defense industries. The 2026 edition features companies including Lockheed Martin, L3Harris, Airbus, Boeing, Safran, Thales, Embraer, RTX Corporation, IAI, Elbit Systems and Tata Advanced Systems, alongside representatives of Morocco’s growing aerospace industry.
The exhibition also provides a platform for Morocco to highlight the development and diversification of its aerospace sector, particularly in engineering, maintenance, embedded electronics, digital technologies and research and development. These activities are increasingly linked to efforts to strengthen the country’s industrial capabilities and position within strategic aerospace value chains.
The 2026 event includes aerial demonstrations, a static aircraft display, strategic conferences and high-level business meetings focusing on industrial sovereignty, supply-chain security, digitalization, complex systems and skills development.
By bringing together manufacturers, procurement officials, decision-makers and international partners, the Marrakech Air Show serves as a platform for business development and technological cooperation, while the participation of INKAS underscores the growing importance of integrated security solutions in the region.
