Indian Firm KEC International Powers Up Morocco with 400-kV Grid Project
KEC International, the Indian engineering powerhouse, marked a significant milestone with the completion of its inaugural power transmission project in Morocco's Casablanca region. The 96-kilometer Chemia Sidi Bennour Transmission Line, operating at 400-kV capacity, represents a strategic enhancement to Morocco's national electricity infrastructure.
The project, announced via LinkedIn, strengthens Morocco's power distribution capabilities and showcases KEC International's expanding global footprint. With annual revenues of USD 2.4 billion, the company's expertise spans multiple sectors, including electricity transmission, railways, urban infrastructure, oil and gas pipelines, solar energy, smart infrastructure, and cables.
