Gunfire reported outside Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home, suspect arrested

Police in Los Angeles arrested a suspect after gunfire struck the Beverly Hills residence of pop star Rihanna on Sunday afternoon, authorities said. No injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred while the singer was inside the property.

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of shots fired at about 13:15 local time. According to investigators, a woman in her 30s stopped her car outside the property and fired several rounds toward the house before fleeing the scene.

Law enforcement officials said officers later located the suspect’s vehicle roughly eight miles from the residence. The woman was taken into custody without incident and remains under investigation. Authorities have not yet released her identity.

Police confirmed that investigators recovered assault rifle shell casings at the scene. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and detectives are continuing to examine evidence and interview witnesses.

Rihanna was reportedly inside the mansion when the gunfire occurred, according to law enforcement sources cited by the Los Angeles Times. No members of her household were harmed.

The Barbados-born singer, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, is one of the most recognizable figures in global pop music. She rose to international fame in the early 2000s with hits such as “Pon de Replay” and “Umbrella.” In recent years, she has expanded her influence beyond music through business ventures including the cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty and a lingerie line.

The incident comes less than a year after the singer welcomed her third child with rapper A$AP Rocky. The couple announced the pregnancy during the Met Gala and later confirmed the birth of a daughter. They also share two sons, Riot and RZA.

Earlier this year, A$AP Rocky was acquitted in a criminal trial related to accusations that he fired a gun at a former friend. Rihanna attended portions of the trial and brought their two sons to court during the proceedings.

Now 37, Rihanna recently marked two decades since the release of her debut album, a milestone highlighting her long-standing presence in the entertainment industry. Forbes has estimated her net worth at more than one billion dollars, reflecting the success of her music career and expanding business empire.

Representatives for the singer have not yet publicly commented on the shooting. Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
