Greek mayor remanded in custody over devastating wildfire near Athens

A Greek court has ordered the pre-trial detention of a mayor accused of responsibility in connection with the massive wildfire that swept through western Athens last week, marking a significant development in the country's response to one of its most destructive fires of the summer.
