Grammy Awards 2026: Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar and Billie Eilish take top honors
The 68th Grammy Awards marked a historic moment for global music as Bad Bunny became the first artist singing in Spanish to win Album of the Year. His record “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS”, deeply rooted in Puerto Rican musical traditions, explores themes of identity, colonial history, and cultural resistance.
American rapper Kendrick Lamar dominated the night with five Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year for “luther”, a collaboration with R&B singer SZA. Lamar also won Best Rap Album for “GNX” and several rap performance categories, reaffirming his influence on contemporary hip-hop.
Billie Eilish received Song of the Year for “WILDFLOWER”, a prize honoring songwriting. During her acceptance speech, the 24-year-old artist reiterated her opposition to restrictive US immigration policies, echoing recent statements made by Bad Bunny criticizing the actions of immigration authorities.
The ceremony highlighted not only musical excellence but also strong political and social messages from leading artists on the global stage.
