Gold could reach $10,000 an ounce before Trump’s term ends, expert predicts
Gold could continue its strong rise and potentially reach $10,000 per ounce before the end of US President Donald Trump’s term, according to Ryan Lemond, co-founder and CEO of wealth management firm New Vision.
Lemond believes that gold’s recent rally could continue if the economic and monetary policies currently shaping US markets remain broadly unchanged. He considers the area around $4,300 per ounce an important base from which the latest advance began.
According to the expert, US interest-rate policy will remain one of the key factors influencing gold prices. Lower or stable interest rates can make the non-yielding metal more attractive to investors, while a weaker US dollar could provide additional support.
Lemond also believes that the dollar may be close to its current valuation peak, potentially creating further momentum for gold if the currency loses strength.
Despite his bullish outlook, he does not expect aggressive monetary easing from the Federal Reserve. Instead, he anticipates limited changes to interest rates through the end of the year, partly because higher oil prices could keep inflationary pressures elevated.
Gold’s future trajectory will ultimately depend on several factors, including US interest rates, the strength of the dollar, energy prices and Washington’s economic policies. These variables will determine whether the precious metal can move toward unprecedented price levels.
