Five killed in Israeli strike in central Gaza Strip
At least five people were killed in an Israeli drone strike in the central Gaza Strip on Tuesday, according to local emergency services and hospital sources.
The Civil Defense in Gaza reported that the victims were struck in the Al-Maghazi area, describing them as civilians targeted in an attack carried out by an Israeli drone. Several others were also reported injured and transferred to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah confirmed that it received five bodies following the incident. Hospital staff said the victims were brought in shortly after the strike, as emergency teams responded to the scene.
The Israeli military has acknowledged the reports and stated that it is reviewing the circumstances surrounding the incident. No further official details have been released at this stage.
The strike comes amid ongoing tensions and continued violence in the Gaza Strip, where civilians continue to face significant risks due to the escalation of hostilities.
