Fatiha El Moudni: New Mayor of Rabat, Breaking Gender Barriers

In a historic move, Fatiha El Moudni has taken on the role of mayor of Rabat, becoming the second woman to hold this esteemed position in the Moroccan capital. El Moudni's candidacy received overwhelming support from the government's majority coalition, which includes the National Rally of Independents (RNI), the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), and the Istiqlal Party. In a decisive vote, the Rabat City Council expressed their confidence in her, with 66 out of 81 councilors casting their votes in her favor.
